Crochet by Dami began in 2020 as a self taught passion. Since 2023,it has grown into a small Lagos studio known for beachwear and statement pieces, with more than five hundred orders made for women who want something handmade and entirely their own.
Nothing here is mass produced. Each piece is worked slowly by hand, in your color and your fit, so it feels made for you because it is.

Ready to wear pieces go out within a few days. Made to order pieces take 7 to 21 working days depending on the piece, then delivery is 3 to 5 working days within Nigeria. If you need it sooner, message us before ordering — express is often possible for an extra fee.
Yes. Almost everything is crocheted after you order, so it is made in your size. Check the size guide, and if you fall between sizes or want it made to your own measurements, send your numbers and we will work it out.
Yes. Every piece can be made in a different colour — tell us what you have in mind and we will match it as closely as our yarns allow. We can send a photo before posting so there are no surprises.
Very close, but not identical. Each piece is worked stitch by stitch by hand, so texture and shade vary a little from one to the next. That is the nature of handmade work, and part of why no two are the same.
Not the way we make it. Most pieces use soft cotton and cotton blends, which breathe well in Lagos heat. If you have sensitive skin, say so when you order and we will pick a yarn that suits you.
Hand wash in cool water, never wring it, then lay it flat in the shade to dry. Store it folded rather than hung — hanging stretches crochet out of shape. Full details are on the care page.
Yes, worldwide. Delivery is priced per state within Nigeria and per country everywhere else, and you will see the exact fee at checkout before you pay.
Yes, if it comes back in very good condition — unworn, unwashed and unaltered — and you tell us within 7 days. Made to order pieces can only come back if something is genuinely wrong with them, since they were crocheted to your measurements.
Yes. Custom work is a large part of what we do — send a photo or describe what you have in mind and we will tell you honestly whether it can be made and what it will cost. Start early for events.
For larger pieces, yes. Message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange it before you order.
Yes — in person in Lagos and Ibadan, and online from anywhere. Beginners are very welcome; most people start knowing nothing at all. See the Learn section.
